This mouthpiece was designed with input from trumpet and flugel artist Marty Bound (New York, NY). It was designed to meet the specific needs of pro players performing all-night gigs in jazz venues and on the Broadway stage. The rim is soft and round for comfort throughout extended playing. 625, and the cup is shallow (similar to a Bach E).

It has a slightly tight #28 throat, and a very focused backbore (Legends Manhattan). The lightweight blank doesn't add any extra mass to dampen the sizzle of the sound.

These characteristics all work together to provide maximum support for extended upper register, lead, and solo parts. 1.045 (26.543 mm) Outside Rim Contour: Medium Inside Rim Diameter. 625 (15.875 mm) Inside Rim Contour: Round Cup Depth: Similar to Bach E (shallow) Throat: #28 Backbore: Legends Manhattan. The Broadway Lead is part of a three-piece kit: the Broadway, Broadway Legit and Broadway Lead. These three mouthpieces together provide maximum flexibility with minimum adjustment time for the player.

The identical rim and cup shape make it easy to quickly switch between the three. The different cup depths and backbores make it possible to produce the ideal sound for any style of music.
