1996 Schilke X3 Professional Trumpet

  
1996 Schilke X3 Professional Trumpet. This is a really fine horn that was manufactured in 1996 which was the 40th anniversary of the Schilke factory. This horn has had the following modifications. 1 Professional precision valve alignment with special gauged neoprene washers on the up and down stroke areas which also included micro laping the valves for lightning fast action.

2 Custom black swirl valve buttons from Mouthpiece Express. 2 Armando third valve slide water key. The flaws that it has are a few areas where the silver is worn off and a few minor dings and pings here and there from normal use. Silver is about 90-95% as shown in the photos.

There are no major dents or evidence of dent repair. There is evidence that some of the solder joints have been redone.

I bought the horn used and don't know much about it's history before I got it. However, there is no evidence of pitting anywhere inside of the horn. The slides and valves are tight and smooth with "as new" compression. It plays like a dream and I have had it in my rotation of horns for a few years.

463 at the 2nd valve slide. The X3 was first introduced in 1967 and is identical to the B3 with the only difference being the bell. The X3 has a large A bell and the B3 has a smaller C bell. It includes an almost new, two trumpet wood shell case and a custom fitted real leather valve guard. This is a great opportunity to get into a professional quality Schilke horn that blows the same as a new one at half the cost.
