Repair shop, our USED horns are brought back to life... All major dents are removed, joints re-soldered (if needed), patches repaired (if necessary) and the slides reworked.

Our horns may be buffed, but all are hand polished to a good shine and are in. We are proud to offer this refurbished instrument for sale. We have tried to describe it as it is, and have shown what we can in the pictures allowed.

We are happy to answer any questions. Up for sale is a vintage 1924 Silver Buescher Grand True Tone LP 38 Trombone made in Elkhart Ind. The trombone serial number is 161xxx and the number on the slide water key is 158xxx. The horn is silver-plated and the bell is satin silver, with silver and gold engraving. The inner bell has a light gold wash.

There are various small waves and pings on the bell section and small dings on the tuning crook. The slide crook has a couple of pea-sized dings. There is some wear through of the silver on the bell and at the grips. There is some light pitting at the grips.

The stockings and slide action are good for the age of the instrument; the slide has been cleaned and honed and will need breaking in. The horn to slide connection is a friction fit.

This horn comes with an original, worn used case, suitable for transport; only the middle latch works. It also comes with a used original mouthpiece. The instrument is not lacquered; therefore, it may have to be polished periodically (we recommend using Weiman METAL Polish).

This is a great horn in nice condition. It is a good all-around player... There is good intonation, slots well and has good tone, typical of a Grand.
