This is a lovely Willson 2900 euphonium. It's medium shank, and it sounds gorgeous.

It's stable and consistent from top to bottom. The high range in particular is stable and clear and easy. Valves are smooth, quick, and quiet, and all slides move as they should. I just had it chemically cleaned, valves lapped and aligned, new felts, valve springs, and valve guides, and an air leak in the first valve repaired. Although it's an older horn, it's in terrific playing condition - tight and smooth and responsive.

There's a few minor dings, some solder spots from past repairs, some places of wear on the usual contact points, and other minor cosmetic blemishes you'd expect from a used horn, but in all it's a real beauty, as you can see from the photos. Take a look at the detailed photos, and feel free to ask any questions. Comes with a reunion blues gig bag in rock solid structural condition, but the bag is well-used with some cosmetic wear. It also comes with a Willson TA-1 mouthpiece, although the mouthpiece is in pretty awful condition.

At your option I'm happy to throw in a Denis Wick SM3M mouthpiece or a Doug Elliot I6E. It's your choice, but make sure to let me know when you check out. To clarify: upon request I could include a Denis Wick SM3M mouthpiece or a Doug Elliott I6E shank (to fit your existing Doug Elliott mouthpiece). I can't include an entire Doug Elliott mouthpiece though.

PLEASE NOTE: I have learned that the valve leak mentioned above was likely caused by metal corrosion, which may also be causing the silver plate flaking you can see on the leadpipe. Although the horn plays great right now, it will likely need repairs to the weakened metal at some point in the future.
