Rare & Incredible silver plated King Super 20 Silversonic Tenor with solid silver bell & neck, silver plated body. Mint Condition / Incredible Player. This silver plated King Super 20 Silversonic tenor is one of the most exquisite specimens of a tenor I've ever come across. Near perfect condition, this horn has been very well treated over the course if it's lifetime. The horn is not only a museum-quality work of art, she plays absolutely incredibly. This is a "series V" Silversonic and appears to be factory silver plated. Plating is in near perfect condition both on the body and keys. Keys are gold plated with a minor bit of wear on the palm keys and side-stack (G# / low C#, B, Bb levers). The horn blows freely across the entire range and screams with ease way into the altissimo registers. Bold, brilliant, resonant and powerful, this horn is the epitome of the famous King Super 20 sound that so many legends played on back in the day. Yusef Lateef, Cannonball Adderly and hosts of other legendary horn-men made their unique and moving sound on these horns. This horn plays with incredible ease and is regulated for professional playing by one of the top repairmen in the country. The intonation is very even and the character of this horn is matched by none. The horn was recently overhauled with new pads, corks, felts & springs and has been adjusted for professional playing. This is as close to perfect condition of a horn of this vintage that I've ever seen.

The neck is perfect, no pull-down, dings or dents. The bottom bow is in perfect condition as is the rest of the horn. The pictures in the main list and below tell the rest of the story. That said, I need to sell it as I already have a small arsenal of horns and a saxophone needs to be played.
