Opening the case is like opening a time capsule from the 1970's. In original near mint condition.

I'm the second owner and know the history of this instrument. This is a rare vintage silver-plated King 3B Concert Trombone with F Attachment in its original hard King case (coffin). This instrument is in excellent ready to play condition. No dings, no dents, almost no wear, etc. Just prior to this listing, I took the 3B to the local musical instrument repair shop that specializes in brass instruments only.

It's been fully inspected, cleaned and lubricated. All parts of the instrument are in excellent working order: slide (silky smooth), tuning slides (fully adjustable, cleaned and lubricated), F attachment rotary valve, & lever (fully functional and quiet). They did a professional written appraisal (contact me for more info).

The silver plate finish is a near mint 9.5 out of 10 condition (not quite a 10, light faint polishing swirls in the bell area, see pictures). The King case has no visible dents, scuffs, scars, etc. The case looks brand new because it's been used to. Not to travel with it.

Has in its collection, the trombone made by King Musical Instruments in Eastlake, Ohio in 1976. It is a B-flat tenor slide trombone.
