Up for sale is an older, well used 70's Era Getzen Flugelhorn. The horn plays very well, the valves move very well, all the caps move well, and the slides all come out. My cosmetical and finish evaluation is that the horn looks like a 6 out of 10. About 97% of the plating is good, there are dings througout the horn, and some small repairs from a previous owner on the 3rd valve brace, and the leadpipe studs.
The bottom valve caps look like someone has used pliers in the past. The plating all looks good and will polish up, some plating wear on the bell crook, and inner bell, and dings throughout the horn, mostly on the inner bell which looks like the horn was on a bad stand. Mecanichal evaluation is a 9 out of ten. The leadpipe moves perfectly, the valves are all smooth and work great, the caps all come off, the pearls all look good, the third valve pearl is cracked but is ok. The waterkeys all work, and the slides all move, the exception is the third valve slide which has some resistance and is hard to remove sometimes.Comes in an older trumpet/flugel case and a Bach 3CFL mouthpiece.
