Specification (copied from the Geneva website). Main and 3rd Valve Triggers. This large bore professional cornet produces a great British band sound, intonation and build are second to none. This cornet has a red brass bell and lead pipe that is designed to produce a great warm sound with just the right ring when required. We have also added a new mouth-pipe and mouthpiece receiver which produces a totally different feel and blowing experience.

The Symphony Cornet is fitted with both main and 3rd slide triggers for fine tuning. Finished in a choice of Bright Silver Plate or Lacquer and supplied in a Luxury Jacob Winter Case. This instrument is the ultimate package for todays bandsmen.

The Symphony Bb cornet is supplied with both standard and heavy valve bottom options for the players personal preference. The benefits of the extra weight in the heavy bottoms include added focus to the instruments core sound and greater projection.

Please note that while no mouthpiece is included in the listing, we usually stock a large selection of suitable mouthpieces and would be happy to supply one on request. We also keep a stock of brass accessories should you be interested. As with all of our instruments, this Cornet has been fully serviced and tested by our brass technician to ensure complete function and the best possible sound. Consequently, the mechanical condition is excellent.

The pistons and slides are clean and unmarked, and their action is smooth and quiet. The valve response is quick, and their resistance is low. The instrument plays very well. Cosmetically, the instrument is in excellent condition. The plating has the usual mild covering of factory polishing marks (as with most silver plated cornets), but there are few very minor scratches from use. The most noticeable scratches are found on the side of the bell. These are all small and shallow, and as such are difficult to photograph, and hard to see. They are revealed only on close inspection. The hard case is in full working order, and it will protect the instrument well. The handle, clasps and hinges are all fully functional, and the case closes easily and precisely. Wear is limited to a few small scuffs on the case. You are most welcome to visit and test the instrument in our playing room prior to making a commitment.
