Fabulous 1927-1928 C G Conn Chu Silver Band Ready Alto Sax Saxophone

  
Here's a rare find on a vintage pro instrument. It's a silver C. Alto saxophone with a gold wash bell and silver neck in excellent condition. The gold on the inside of the bell is still nice and bright. It shown no signs of abuse or repairs of any kind.

It was expertly overhauled in 2009 and all the pads are in mint condition. The G# had been articulated.

(so that the G# opens when the low Bb -c# is fingered) to accommodate alternate fingerings. Also the Eb key is functional.

The microtuner neck functions very smoothly. This beautiful horn has 98%of it's silver plating intact and is still shiny like new. Original mother of pearl finger buttons are all intact. On the ornately engraved bell it reads Made By C. " and on the backside "Pat'd Dec.

Very well made, it is clean and has; rolled tone holes, shiny finish, gold wash bell, no dents or unusual wear for an instrument of this age. The action is nice and tight and the pad job is well done.

Pads have a good "plunk" to them. It comes with a Yamaha 4C mouthpiece, cap and ligature as well as a neck strap, all set up in a Pro-Tec case with a beautiful blue velvet interior. With an amazing tone that you just can't get today.
