Dolnet'Bel Air' Tenor Saxophone in Excellent condition. A lovel example of this unique French manufactured horn, manufactured around 1960 I reckon from the serial number 50099C. The'C' in the serial number indicates it is a Bel Air.

These horns are highly regarded as being one of the best french saxophones, and that is praise indeed, given the quality of Selmer, SML, Buffet and Cousenon. This one has been well loved, and has just undergone a complete overhaul, with a complete repad (see the pics), all new cork, some new springs, sterilised! , polished, and all tuned and set up by Studio 7 in Bristol.

She will need a little playing in, but it is all there to be had: and exceptional vintage horn with an original sound that has the oomph to push through an ensemble (likened to a Conn 10M, and an early Buescher 400 according to some reports I have read), as well as the heart and soul to bring the groove home.
