CONN Bb CHU-BERRY TENOR SAXOPHONE. Serial # 210418 (LOW PITCH) Circa 1928. This Serial number range is within the 200,000 range for Conn Tenors that are very desireable by those wanted a Conn Chu-Berry.

This Chu-Berry Tenor needs some work to play properly. I can play a C Scale up and down on it, however, the low Bell Keys do not play due to leaks. The photos show that some of the posts on this Tenor have been resolders, and the Body and Bow sections will need resoldering from what I can tell. The Neck is most likely a neck from a Pan-American or some other Conn Stencil Tenor, and appears to have had some prior work performed on it. This saxophone was Originally Silver Plated, but was Lacquered some time ago, as evident of the darkened colored of the lacquer from over the years.

Check out the photos and you can readily view the current condition of the lacquered Finish. The case is a Vintage Tweed Case, in Good solid condition.
