Repair shop, our USED horns are brought back to life... All major dents are removed, joints re-soldered (if needed), patches repaired (if necessary) and the slides reworked. Our horns may be buffed, but all are hand polished to a good shine and are in.

We are proud to offer this refurbished instrument for sale. We have tried to describe it as it is, and have shown what we can in the pictures allowed. We are happy to answer any questions asked. Up for sale is a 1947 FE Olds & Son Super Professional Tenor Trombone, manufactured in Los Angeles, Calif.

500, with a 7.5 diameter bell flare. The matching serial numbers on the horn are #260xx. It is made of yellow brass and solid nickel silver. The bell material is bell bronze and has the silver kranz around the bell rim. There are light scratches on the bell and some very light pitting at the grips.

This instrument has been hand polished and is in very clean, like original condition after the old lacquer was removed. The Super model has the fluted slide tubes and the slide action is very good, with excellent compression. The stockings are in very good condition with one very small wear through spot at the tip. The horn comes with a nice old King case which fits the horn nicely, but the center will not latch.

It comes with a used mouthpiece(may not be the one pictured). This instrument is not lacquered; therefore, this instrument may have to be polished periodically (we recommend using Weiman METAL Polish). This horn does it all--it is a great player and plays great jazz, typical of the Super model. It is especially at home as a lead jazz horn.

This horn slots very well, has great intonation and tons of power. It can be played bright and direct or be played with beautiful soft tones as well. Thanks for looking and check out our other horns!
